Charlotte FC sign English M Jamie Paterson

The 32-year-old veteran is under contract through 2024 with an option for the 2025 season.
Paterson most recently played with the second-tier side Swansea City in Wales from 2021-24.
Charlotte FC head coach Dean Smith managed Paterson at Walsall FC for three seasons (2011-13).
"He's a player that Dean knows well from his time in England and is coming off a good season in the championship," Charlotte general manager Zoran Krneta said. "We look forward to Jamie integrating into our squad and everyone at the club welcomes him to Charlotte."
Paterson has accumulated 82 goals and 68 assists in 484 career appearances with Walsall, Nottingham Forest, Huddersfield Town, Bristol City, Derby County and Swansea City.
